In October 2020, Aggieland Humane Society accomplished a significant milestone of performing 10,000 spay and neuter surgeries after launching our Mobile Spay and Neuter Unit in September 2017. Since then, we have been serving families and pets from all across the Brazos Valley, reducing pet homelessness and saving lives. Thank you for making this lifesaving program possible!

When the pandemic began, we paused our critical Pet Transfer Program until it could start again safely. With new protocols implemented, we ramped up our Pet Transfer Program over the last few months of the year, saving more pets than ever. Since January 2020, Aggieland Humane Society has driven over 240 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens over 10,000 miles to several shelters across the United States.

Aggieland Humane’s Foster Care Program has been critical to our success since the pandemic began. In 2020, over 800 pets in need received foster care with your help! These pets frequently require more attention – sometimes they are pregnant, have a broken leg, or a severe infection. You helped support the foster training, medical care, and supplies needed to save their lives!

Aggieland Humane brought on a part-time shelter veterinarian to provide a higher level of care to the thousands of pets we see annually. Dr. Betsey Jeter examines dogs and cats to provide valuable medical evaluations, flea and tick medications, and in-house heartworm treatment. These services help better prepare pets for adoption.
